Research Opportunities
To apply:
If you are interested in joining the NODE research group, please contact Prof. Nathan Albin and attach a statement of research interests along with other relevant information (CV, list of publications, names of references, etc.).
Postdoctoral research:
We currently do not have an open postdoctoral position.
Graduate students:
Students in the NODE group are enrolled in either the Mathematics or the Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate program at K-State. Our graduate students are typically funded through a combination of teaching and research assistantships and departmental fellowships.
Undergraduate students:
There are various opportunities for undergraduate students interested in research involvement in our group. Undergraduates have the opportunity to conduct independent projects on a range of interdisciplinary problems. Our undergraduate researchers have frequently received financial support through the Mathematics Department’s I-Center and Summer Undergraduate Mathematics Research, the College of Arts and Sciences’ Undergraduate Research Fellowship, and other NSF-funded REU projects. Often, the students are able to receive University course credit for the time spent on research, and several of our undergraduate projects have resulted in peer-reviewed publications.
